RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME
SJD Homes are providers of a 24hr staffed Therapeutic Residential Care Home for children and young people with a range of needs such as challenging behaviour, emotional and behavioural issues, offending behaviour, autistic spectrum disorders and complex needs amongst others.
We specialise in firstly providing a home for children and young people with high end needs; where they will feel settled and safe. We also specialise in providing a range of services to support the young people in achieving independence. However, all of our packages will be bespoke tailor made to their individual needs. SJD Homes regularly review care plans to meet the specific needs of each child or young person. The packages range from low support needs of 5hrs 1:1 per week to 24hrs 1:1 or 2:1 per week, provided on an individual basis. All of our packages are based on a de-escalating scale, where the 1:1 support is regularly reviewed and if appropriate, reduced on a transitional basis to enable children and young people to achieve greater independence.

At SJD Homes we never see residential care as a last resort. Our block contract and spot purchase children’s home provide valuable experiences for young people thanks to our staff’s expertise, bespoke and a genuine, caring approach. Young people have their say on decorating their bedrooms, deciding house rules and picking what’s on the menu each week. By empowering them to make decisions on issues that directly affect their lives, they feel more at home and positive about engaging with staff. Our children’s care homes have between one and three-bed spaces for young people aged up to 18 years old. We take both planned and emergency referrals.
We keep our numbers to a minimum to ensure all children and young people receive full support and attention for the best possible outcomes.
Prepared meals 3 times per day with snacks at our Children and Young People’s disposal
